(NOTE: These ratings assume wire rope slings are constructed of XIP (Extra Improved Plow Steel) wire rope of either 6x19 or 6x37 class I.W.R.C (Wire Core) wire rope and that slings have been inspected for wear and are in acceptable condition. Exceeding these capacities can result in failure of the sling resulting in injury or even death.)

Double and Multi-leg bridles are measured a little differently than EE (Eye & EYE) ET (Eye & Thimble) or TT (Thimble & Thimble) slings. The illustration below shows this. The hardware positioned at the 'top' of the assembly is not included in the length of the sling. The measurement is taken from the bearing point of the attachment, or eye, at the bottom of the assembly to the bearing of the wire rope sling that attaches to the link at the top of the assembly.

Eye and Eye sling are slings that contructed of flat nylon or polyester webbing that have been sewn in a fashion that provides a loop at each end. Either the loop is flat or it can have a twist in it. Therefore, these slings are called Eye and Eye Flat or Eye and Eye Twist sling. Their capacities are given below.

Endless nylon slings are constructed of flat nylon or polyester webbing. The name 'Endless' come from the fact that unlike other sling, these sling are sewn in a continuous loop, like a belt. Endless sling capacities are equal to Eye and Eye sling twice their size.
